CBS RECOVERY SPECIALIST
OSBORNE BRANCH OFFICE

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening available in our Osborne branch office for a Recovery Specialist. The CBS/CSS Recovery Specialist’s work focuses primarily on providing patients and their families with medically necessary services designed to reduce their symptoms and improve functioning in home, school/work, and community settings. Qualifications for this position include at least (1) a BA/BS degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education; and (2) possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations. Successful candidate must also be able to provide after hours on call services.

Applicants should possess a valid Kansas driver’s license and a good driving record with no alcohol related incidents within the last five years. Must also be able to successfully pass an intensive background check including KBI, SRS Child/Adult abuse check and a drug and alcohol screen. BRANCH OFFICE SECRETARY/RECEPTIONIST

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has an opening for a Branch Office Secretary Receptionist at our Branch Office in Osborne. Under supervision, the qualified candidate will provide a variety of secretarial services for the branch staff including greeting patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner, provides a variety of secretarial services to program staff. Qualifications include providing a variety of secretarial duties including: professional attitude, handling a multi-line phone system, data entry functions, and some word processing.

Candidate must also be able to successfully pass an intensive background check including KBI, SRS Child/Adult abuse check and a drug and alcohol screen. High Plains Mental Health Center, a Community Mental Health Center based in Hays, Kansas, currently has a position opening for a Qualified Mental Health Professional in our Norton branch. This position provides individual and family psychotherapy and crises services in our Norton branch.

High Plains currently serves 20 counties in Northwest Kansas and has five branch offices located in Colby, Goodland, Norton, Osborne and Phillipsburg. High Plains is now one of 27 community mental health centers licensed through the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. We are the largest rural center in the state.

QUALIFIED MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALCOLBY-GOODLAND

High Plains Mental Health Center, a Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening for a Qualified Mental Health Professional. High Plains serves 20 counties in Northwest Kansas and has five Branch offices located in Colby, Goodland, Norton, Osborne and Phillipsburg. The qualified candidate will provide comprehensive psychological evaluations, individual psychotherapy and counseling in our Norton Branch. Some travel required.

Job Qualifications:

· Masters or doctoral degree with Kansas BSRB license as a –
a) Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Master Level Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist, or
b) Licensed Master Social Worker (clinical track), or
c) Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, or
d) Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a mental health training track or equivalent mental health experience.
e) Must also possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations

Responsibilities:

· Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
· Performs collaboration and other necessary case management work.
· Provides on-call emergency duty as assigned.
· Provides psychological evaluations.
· Completes timely clinical and administrative reports and documents.
· Other duties as assigned.
