RECOVERY WORKER (PRN-AS NEEDED

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a position available for a Recovery Worker (PRN-as needed). The Recovery Worker provides Attendant Care, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and other rehabilitation services as assigned to adults with severe and persistent mental illness or children and/or adolescents who have severe emotional disturbances or other assigned patients requiring services of the Recovery Worker. These services are intensive consumer-centered, goal-directed services provided on a face-to-face basis in community settings. They also provide transportation services as assigned.
Qualifications include: (1) You must be 18 years of age or older and if providing services to a consumer who is under the age of 18, you must be at least three years older than the consumer; (2) Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations; (3) Have certification of completion of state approved standardized basic training program according to curriculum approved by the Division of Health Care Policy; and (4) Have access to reliable transportation.

REGISTERED NURSE/MENTAL HEALTH NURSING SERVICES
High Plains Mental Health Center, a Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening for a RN/Mental Health Nursing Services. High Plains serves 20 counties in Northwest Kansas and has five Branch offices located in Colby, Goodland, Norton, Osborne and Phillipsburg. The qualified candidate will function as a member of the HPMHC treatment team in the provision of quality mental health services. Candidate will work closely and cooperatively with others in order to meet the psychopharmacological needs of the patient including adults, adolescents and children, and utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care.
Job Qualifications:
Current licensure by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of one year of nursing experience in either psychiatric/mental health nursing or in a physician office practice preferred.
Responsibilities:
Serves as the point of referral for therapists and patients who are requesting evaluation for psychopharmacological services.
Assists in scheduling
Provides timely medication injections and timely documentation.
Mails out monthly psychostimulant prescriptions as assigned.
Coordinates laboratory services.
Monitors for symptom reduction as well as side effects of medication
Assists in obtaining vital signs and documents on a timely basis.
Provides medication reviews for patients as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

AFTER HOURS SCREENING & REFERRAL THERAPIST

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening available in Hays at for an After Hours Screening & Referral Therapist. The qualified candidate will focus on responding quickly to those needing information, screening, psychiatric admission, or crisis intervention on a scheduled and/or non-scheduled basis during assigned hours. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing the majority of after-hours “crises” services for High Plains Mental Health Center. Qualifications include: Kansas licensure as (1) LMLP (Licensed Masters Level Psychologist) or above, or (2) LCP (Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist), or (3) LMSW (Licensed Masters Level Social Worker) or above.
